Dental Wax Block

Our dental wax block is meticulously engineered to fully satisfy the specialized requirements of dental technicians. It seamlessly meets the exacting standards of both the milling process and subsequent casting procedures. This wax significantly streamlines the design phase for a wide array of restorations. Whether it's single crowns, long - span bridges, inlays, onlays, abutments, partial dentures, or wax - ups, the design process is expedited.

The dental wax block exhibits a softening point of 105°C and a melting point of 140°C. Its density ranges from 0.89 to 0.93, with an ash content of less than 0.01% and a shrinkage rate of 5%. Boasting outstanding processing characteristics, it doesn't adhere to milling cutters. This not only simplifies manual milling but also enables the production of crowns as thin as 0.3mm. The wax undergoes a proprietary processing technique that effectively eliminates internal stress, minimizing deformation during processing. Thanks to its high melting point, it remains solid during milling, never impeding the machining process. Moreover, it features excellent anti - static properties, making it convenient to process and clean.

Q: 1. What is a wax tray in dentistry?

A: A wax tray is a round, dental-grade wax used in various dental laboratory procedures, such as making molds for crowns, bridges, dentures, or other dental restorations.

Q: 2. How are wax trays used in dental procedures?

A: Wax trays are primarily used to create the shapes and contours of dental restorations. Dental technicians carve or mold the wax into the desired shape (for example, for a crown or bridge) and then convert it into a more durable material through casting. It can also be used to test bite alignment and occlusion during the restoration process.

Q: 3. What are the properties of a dental wax tray?

A: A typical dental wax tray has specific properties:
Softening point: The temperature at which the wax becomes soft and can be easily shaped.
Melting point: The temperature at which the wax becomes liquid and is typically used in the casting process.
Density: Generally between 0.89 and 0.93, it is lightweight but strong.
Shrinkage: Wax typically shrinks by about 5%, which needs to be considered when making molds for dental restorations.

Q: 4. What is the role of a wax tray in the casting process?

A: During the casting process, wax discs are used to make the initial pattern of a dental restoration (such as a crown or bridge). After the wax pattern is formed, it is covered with a ceramic shell. The wax is then melted, leaving a mold that can be filled with metal or ceramic materials to make the final restoration.

Q: 5. What are the advantages of using wax discs in dental surgery?

A: Excellent machinability: Wax discs are easy to shape and carve, allowing for precise adjustments when making restorations.
Does not stick to milling cutters: Wax does not stick to milling cutters, making it easier for dental technicians to handle.
Thinness: Wax can be milled to make restorations as thin as 0.3 mm.
High melting point: Wax discs have a high melting point, making them stable during the milling process and will not melt at high temperatures.
Anti-static properties: Wax discs have low static properties, making them easier to process and clean.

Q: 6. What is the difference between wax discs and other dental materials such as zirconium oxide or ceramics?

A: Wax discs are temporary materials used to make models in the early stages of restoration production and are not used in the mouth for a long time.
