3M Lava zirconia milling burs feature CVD diamond coating and are among the highest quality cutting tools on the market. Each bur delivers an exceptional service life of 500 to 700 units, representing up to 5 times the service life of standard OEM tungsten carbide burs. The burs offer excellent wear resistance and chemical inertness. 3M Lava provides a systematic tool magazine management platform-the magazine holds up to 20 milling cutters, with each tool position clearly labeled with numbers 1-20 corresponding to the tool magazine display in the operating interface. Five tool types are currently available for milling and service programs.

Applicable Scope

Compatible with 3M Lava™ series milling machines. Used in conjunction with Lava™ Ultimate Restorative. Applicable materials include: zirconia, PMMA, PEEK, wax, and more. Burs are used for forming SD shapes in Lava™ Milling Machines. Suitable for precision machining of zirconia crowns, bridges, and aesthetic restorations.

Operation Guide

1.Magazine Preparation：Install burs into designated magazine positions (1-20). Ensure bur types at each position match settings in the operating interface.

2.Bur Registration：Register milling burs to be used via the operating interface. Select the machine to operate,click "Milling bur registration". Assign stocker numbers for bur placement.

3.Material Loading：Load Lava zirconia disc or block into the machining area.

4.Start Milling：Load CAM-generated machining file and start the milling program.

5.Monitoring：Pause or restart machine during milling as needed. Press and hold button to abort milling or clear errors.

6.Bur Replacement：Replace burs based on service life (500-700 units) or when machining quality declines. Regularly clean burs to remove zirconia powder residue.
